** Updated criteria for booster jabs following Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust guidance **
We are advised that UNDER 30s are not eligible for a walk-in booster vaccine at this stage, unless they have an underlying health condition that qualifies them and have been invited by the NHS to get their jab.
COVID-19 vaccination jabs will be available on campus on Monday 13 December, inside the LCR between 10.00am and 5.00pm – no booking required.
The Pfizer vaccinations are for any member of staff or student who is eligible for their first, second or booster jab. NHS clinicians will be on hand to talk through the process and answer any questions you may have.
The NHS Vaccination team will be located inside the LCR from 10.00am and 5.00pm on Monday 13 December. No booking required
The NHS team will be using Pfizer vaccine
Please bring your NHS number or previous vaccination information with you on the day.
First or second jabs
You can get your first or second jab, provided it’s 8 weeks since your first Pfizer jab.
Booster jabs
You can get a booster jab if it's been 91 days (3 months) since your 2nd dose (which would be before the 13 September 2021) and you're in one of these groups:
aged 30 and over
aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts you at high risk from COVID-19
You do not need to have had the Pfizer vaccine originally to receive your booster.
Anyone who gets COVID-19 can become seriously ill or have long-term effects, the vaccines are the best way to protect yourself and others.
Respecting everyone’s wellbeing
The UEA community has continued to show an impressive communal response to the pandemic - as we approach the end of the semester, it’s important that we continue to support each other and respect everyone’s wellbeing by:
Staying at home if you are sick
Testing twice a week if you’re regularly on campus
Self-isolating and booking a PCR test if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, as well as letting the University know
Wearing a face covering inside all University buildings, unless exempt. Don’t forget to bring your reusable face covering to help reduce waste
This Friday (22 September) will see The Street and Square host UEAs second Street Market, with more than 40 traders and local businesses.
