Windows 11 is the latest Operating System from Microsoft, which offers new tools to increase productivity, enhanced security features and improved performance from your UEA device.
ITCS is happy to announce that it has been made available for people to download from 5 November. To be one of the first to benefit from the enhanced features Windows 11 provides, you can download the upgrade ahead of the phased rollout planned for later this year.

Microsoft will stop providing updates to Windows 10 from 14 October 2025. To ensure our commitment to cyber security and to remain compliant with our security policies, including the general information security policy, ITCS will be deploying Windows 11 to remaining compatible devices over the coming months in a phased rollout.

The IT Equipment Lifecycle Management Procedure describes how the University’s IT equipment assets are supplied, recorded, managed, and disposed of. It contains information about refresh rates and what the University will provide to colleagues.

The way staff securely access the UEA network when working around campus or remotely is changing. The new virtual private network (VPN) client will be deployed directly to all UEA managed devices in the coming months.
