Pathway from the Triangle Car Park to playing fields blocked due to recent flooding
Following the heavy rainfall in recent days, the path from the playing fields to and from the Triangle Car Park is flooded and impassable at present. It is highly likely that this will remain the same tomorrow morning (Monday 23 October) and users of the Triangle Car Park are advised that their journey to work will be impacted tomorrow.
An alternative route to campus can be taken by heading back out the vehicle entrance up to Colney Lane, turning left at the traffic lights towards the hospital, entering the playing fields at the Pavilion and following the path over the bridge. Colleagues in the Estates team will be reviewing the situation in the morning to provide appropriate signage in and around this area.
Water levels of the river under the Colney Bridge remain high but this will not affect staff and students’ journeys to and from campus. All other routes onto campus are unaffected at this time.
